Which part of Budapest is the best place to stay?
Budapest is roughly divided into the two districts Buda and Pest, which are separated from each other by the Danube.
in the Buda district there are many of the famous sights of Budapest, such as B. the castle palace and the fisherman's bastion. Most of the thermal baths are also in Buda. Overall, Buda is more of a quieter part of the city.
Most of the restaurants, the young scene and many shops are in the Pest district. Also here are many well-known sights, such as B. the Parliament, the great market hall and the Heroes' Square. We prefer to spend the night in Budapest on this side of the Danube, as there is simply a lot more life here.
This is especially true with young people Jewish quarter popular. Most of Budapest's bars, clubs and ruin bars are located here and there is always something going on here, especially in the evening. So if you are looking for something quiet, then you should avoid the Jewish Quarter.
With our hotel tips we will of course always tell you where the respective hotel is and for whom the location is suitable.
Traditional luxury hotels in Budapest
Budapest has a number of very traditional luxury hotels, some of which are housed in very representative buildings. Although these hotels are of course not exactly cheap, you can definitely get a bargain here, especially in the off-season.
New York Palace, The Dedica Anthology, Autograph Collection
The name of the hotel is a bit awkward: New York Palace, The Dedica Anthology, Autograph Collection. The short form New York Palace sounds much better and behind this name is one of the most traditional hotels in Budapest. The building with its magnificent inner courtyard is a sight in itself and the New York café, which belongs to the hotel, is one of the most famous coffee houses in the city.
The hotel is located in the 7th district on the Pest side. The Jewish Quarter with its many bars and restaurants is only a few meters away, and a metro station is right outside the door.
