Are women more successful in politics today than they were 50 years ago?
1970 to today - from Marie Schlei to Michelle Müntefering

Marie Schlei was a successful politician and the first female development aid minister in the Federal Republic of Germany. She gave up the post of minister after two years after suffering political defeats. In particular, the findings from the study she initiated into the role of women in developing countries are still valid today. If women were an exception in the federal government 50 years ago, this has now changed. What challenges do young women politicians face today? What design options does a younger politician have in our time?
Minister of State Michelle Müntefering and Christa Randzio-Plath, who was a member of the European Parliament from 1989-2004, discuss these questions and discuss them with one another.
In cooperation with the Evangelical Women's Aid in the Rhineland, the Evangelical Academy in the Rhineland and the Marie-Schlei-Verein e.V.
